Alcohol Delivery On-Demand

Find Local Late Night Booze Delivery Services in England & Wales

Since the introduction of 24 hour drinking in 2005, all night booze delivery services have opened for business all over England and Wales, offering on-demand alcohol delivery throughout the night. Simply order booze online and it will be delivered to your home a short time later – usually within the hour but often even faster, with some delivery services in large cities like London offering almost instant alcohol delivery. It’s as easy as ordering a takeaway online – there’s no need to even pick up the phone. There are a growing number of late night booze delivery companies operating in the UK and highly populated areas are generally served by more than one alcohol delivery service. Cigarettes, tobacco, snacks and other extras are also commonly available to order for fast delivery.

When it comes to finding nearby booze delivery services that offer not just same-day delivery, but instant on-demand delivery, it can be a difficult task. There are no nationwide providers whatsoever but there are a few online ordering portals that cover multiple areas across the UK, which we will run through below (they are in fact portals specialising in takeaway fast food but also offer grocery & drink delivery).

Most alcohol delivery services in England & Wales are usually open late at night, into the early hours of the following morning and in some cases, throughout the entire night. Most don’t open 24 hours but there are also options for on-demand delivery during the day and evenings.

GopuffOrder from Gopuff to get alcohol, tobacco, snacks & groceries delivered in as little as 15-20 minutes. New customers use promo code GOE33KPVKX for £100 credit (£10 off up to 10 orders over the next 30 days). Opening times of Gopuff fulfilment centres vary depending on location.

There has been a recent boom in the number of rapid delivery services offering drink and essential groceries within minutes, with orders fulfilled by their own in-house fulfilment centres or “dark stores” and delivered by their own drivers and riders. Some of the larger players that are quickly expanding to cover new areas are Gorillas, Gopuff (acquired Fancy and Dija), Zapp (Quick Commerce Ltd) & Getir (acquired Weezy).

BeeliveryOrder from Beelivery for alcohol, tobacco, snacks & grocery delivery in as little as 15-60 minutes. Open 24/7! Delivery now available to 90% of UK postcodes. New customers ordering for the first time can use voucher code 90MINS for £5 off (ideal for small orders) or voucher code TENPERCENT for 10% off (ideal for orders over £50).

Nationally, Beelivery, Deliveroo and Uber Eats are the biggest third party services offering instant alcohol and grocery delivery in partnership with retailers. Beelivery, Deliveroo and Uber Eats have all rapidly expanded their coverage, delivering to many towns and cities all over the UK. These services don’t sell products them selves and instead send drivers to collect them from local shops and then drop them off to customers.

If you don’t need your drinks delivered instantly and don’t mind waiting slightly longer for your order to arrive in exchange for competitive prices, there is also same day delivery from Amazon Fresh (formerly known as Amazon Prime Now). Alternatively you could take a look at the Amazon Alcohol Department on the regular Amazon UK website to find a massive range of drinks from a variety of sellers. As with any service, delivery times depend on demand so may take longer at peak periods.

Other instant daytime delivery services from the major high street supermarkets include Co-Op On-Demand Groceries, Sainsbury’s ChopChop, Tesco Whoosh and Zoom by Ocado which all aim to deliver within a couple of hours of placing your order but have fairy limited coverage at the moment, but new areas are being added all the time. Waitrose & Partners were trailing an instant delivery service called Waitrose Rapid but decided to discontinue the service to focus on their partnerships with Deliveroo & Uber Eats.

There are many excellent independent booze delivery companies offering fast delivery to your door, so it’s worth searching for firms operating in your local area.

Some time ago we used to recommend using Just Eat for alcohol delivery due to their range of late night alcohol providers across the country but unfortunately, several years ago they took the decision to remove all drinks delivery services from their online ordering platform. At least there was Hungry House left, which quickly became the preferred choice for getting drinks delivered on-demand, after picking up many of the alcohol delivery firms that were previously trading on Just Eat. Sadly Hungry House was purchased by Just Eat and subsequently closed down.

Most alcohol delivery companies don’t open 24 hours a day because there isn’t usually much demand for booze at say, 9am on a Tuesday morning, however, many open for business in the evening and are open all night (after hours) as night-time is of course the time of day when the majority of customers want to order alcohol for home delivery, due to most local supermarket or convenience store being closed at such a time. There are some delivery companies are only open during the daytime, evenings or at weekends (Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night if the following day is a bank holiday Monday) but there are loads of wine & beer delivery services that open late at night and into the early hours of the morning, 7 days a week (some are even open on Christmas day).

So next time you need booze after hours and can’t get down to a shop with a 24 hour licence, don’t despair, order alcohol online for delivery direct to your door in an instant. 24 hour alcohol delivery services are available in England and Wales but there are, unfortunately, none in Scotland due to Scottish licensing laws which prevent alcohol being sold by retail premises between 10pm at night and 10am the next morning, Monday-Sunday.

If you don’t have a 24 hour shop that sells alcohol all night within walking distance of your current location, alcohol delivery on-demand is what you need, but if there isn’t a company delivering to your area yet, whatever you do, don’t drink and drive! As a last resort, you could always use a taxi/minicab service to fetch booze from your nearest 24 hour off licence.

Just some of the areas where drinks delivery services operate: London, Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire, Bristol, Birmingham, Leicester, Greater Manchester, Blackpool, Lancashire, Preston, Lancashire, Leeds, West Yorkshire, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Luton, Bedfordshire, Slough, Berkshire, Swindon, Wiltshire and Liverpool, Merseyside.

Some delivery services only stock a limited range of alcoholic beverages but most offer a wide menu of beers, wines, spirits, champagne, cider, alcopops and also soft drinks and mixers, tobacco/cigarettes, snacks and takeaway food. Payment can usually be made online by credit/debit card or with cash on delivery. Some booze delivery companies also accept card payments on your doorstep.

If there isn’t an all night alcohol delivery service operating in your local area, the other option is to visit your local 24 hour shop with all-night alcohol licence to buy booze at any time of night.

Due to UK alcohol licensing laws, drink delivery services, just like any other licensed premises, may required you to show ID to verify you are aged over 18. If your chosen alcohol delivery service partakes in the Challenge 21 or Challenge 25 schemes, proof of age will be requested at time of delivery if you look under 21/25 years old. Please be aware that the alcohol delivery options listed on this page are operated by independent businesses unrelated to 24 Hour Alcohol, therefore any queries regarding deliveries or any other element of service should be directed to the alcohol delivery company that you used to place your order. 24 Hour Alcohol is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to the Amazon UK website.
